KERATIN COMPLEX COLOR THERAPY

A NEW GENERATION OF HEALTHY HAIR COLOR.

From the creators of the award-winning Keratin Complex™ Smoothing Therapy, KeraHold is an innovation in professional hair color inspired by proven keratin technology. KeraHold replenishes keratin and synergistically fills the porosity caused by traditional coloring processes. Our exclusive KeraHold Color Therapy technology is based on three components of protection for color longevity, healthy shine and brilliant results.

  1. Keratin molecules penetrate the hair shaft, reducing porosity for even color distribution.

What to eat to get healthy hair + Hair by Adelle

20 Mar

Its been a lot of talk lately in the salon about how to have healthy hair. Well I have been doing a lot of research on the side to find out why someones hair may grow healthier than someone else’s. Well my conclusion is that in this day and  age we all don’t eat the best that we could, and that reflects through our hair, skin and nails.  When I saw this list however, it happens to be some of my FAV foods, all which are high in protein. I borrowed this from The Ladies Home Journal, but every research that I did had these same foods listed.  As women I know how important it is to have great hair… Which is the number 1 reason I specialize in extensions, and also recommend using the best products available. MOROCCAN OIL is the leading #1 product in the WORLD! I will do a whole different blog on that because I can go on forever about it 🙂 I only sell products I 100% believe in!

MOROCCAN OIL PRODUCTS

[From>Ladies Home Journal]

Good hair nutrition begins with getting enough protein, which is the building block of your hair. Then you need complex carbohydrates to help assemble the proteins for hair growth. “Once you’ve considered protein, then getting iron in absorb-able forms is one of the single most important minerals as far as hair growth is concerned,” says Thompson. Other important vitamins and minerals include B complex, which is associated with energy production and building good hair and skin issues, folic acid, B12, and zinc.

In his book The Hair Bible: A Complete Guide to Health and Care (Aurum, 2003), famed hairdresser Philip Kingsley stresses the importance of eating a healthy and protein-packed breakfast each day. He says that in the morning your energy levels to your hair follicles are at their lowest. Here, a list of foods that Thompson and Kingsley recommend be consumed along with fresh fruits and vegetables.

BEEF

If you don’t have high cholesterol, Thompson recommends eating red meat twice a week for optimal hair health. Not only does beef have the protein you need, but also B vitamins, iron, and zinc, important minerals for healthy hair.

Recommended Serving Size3.5 ounces of roasted, lean beef, 175 calories

EGGS OR EGG WHITES

Vegetarian? Can’t eat red meat for health reasons? Then egg whites are the way to go. “If you can’t eat an animal protein, egg whites are the next best thing,” says Thompson. “Their value is underestimated in our society.”

Recommended Serving Size: One large egg, 84 calories

BROWN SHORT-GRAIN RICE

You should have complex carbohydrates, which feed you energy over a longer period of time than refined carbohydrates, with your protein source at meals. Brown short-grain rice is an ideal form. It’s also a good source of B vitamins and some fiber.

Recommended Serving Size: 1/4 cup dry rice, 179 calories

COTTAGE CHEESE

Try low-fat cottage cheese for a protein-packed breakfast or lunch on the go when you don’t have time to make eggs. Top it with some fresh berries for an added serving of fruit. Plus, cottage cheese is also a good source of calcium.

Recommended Serving Size: Scant half cup of 1 percent fat cottage cheese, 72 calories

BACON

Although it’s not a good food to eat if you’re trying to lose weight, Kingsley recommends eating a normal serving of bacon for extra B vitamins, zinc, and protein.

Recommended Serving Size: Fried bacon, 3.5 ounces, 576 calories

SALMON

Try it smoked or fresh at breakfast, lunch, or dinner for a good dose of protein along with B vitamins, including B12, and other vitamins and minerals.

All for now… Happy eating 🙂

Want thicker, longer Hair?? Hair by Adelle!!!!

23 Nov

Hey ladies!!!

Just letting everyone know, I will be out of the country and will not be able to answer any phone calls till Dec 4th. If you have an emergency and need to get in touch with me, I will be checking my email periodically. So please email me at adelle9876@yahoo.com

Here are the 3 extensions I had this week! This has been a really incredible week for me… and Im exhausted and SOOO ready for St Lucia!!! Whoo HOO!!!

My first little girl is Sarah, This is her second time getting extensions from me… long story, but she has been through a lot and I am extremely proud of her! I am also proud that her hair turned out so great… again 🙂 Here are her photos!

My next girl, I am going to brag on a just a bit… lol Judy traveled to get her hair done by me from Afghanistan! She is an american living in Afghanistan… she planned to come home to visit her children, but made her first pit stop to see me to do her hair. So I guess I can technically say Hair by Adelle is now nation Wide! 🙂 So to say the least, yeah, Im pretty flattered, so I had to brag for a minute! :)She had not had her hair done in 6 months, so she got a TOTAL makeover in my chair… color, cut and extensions!

Judy Mays

Brightened up her red color with a few highlights also, as well as a layered style with extensions.

GORGEOUS!!!

Judy Mays

This girl traveled to me from Columbia SC… which seems to be a growing area for me! I have well over 10 clients from the Columbia area now. Its not that bad of a drive… and of course its TOTALLY worth it! She has been getting perms her whole life and had never had color done on her hair. I recommended we go darker to really bring out her eyes, as well as getting rid of her last perm 🙂 ( I cant stand perms… but that is just my personal opinion) SO, here are her photos!

This is after…. WOW!!! I LOVE it soooo much! Love the darker hair and the length looks so amazing on her!

Thanks for stopping by to see my blog!!! I look forward to working with more of you!!!!! Dont forget about my special and how to get 10% off your total extension price!

All for now… Im OFF TO ST. LUCIA!!!!!!!!!!! Peace OUT! 🙂

Best Hair extensions in South Carolina

25 Mar

Hey there,

My name is Adelle Valentine Graham. I have been specializing in hair extensions for over 6 years now. I was trained by highly rated professionals out of Atlanta GA. This is a huge passion for me and I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to the art of extensions! 🙂 but This is what makes me good at what I do! Trust me, you are in good hands!

I have had a lot of women ask me to post the dos and don’ts with extensions…So here you go 🙂 now when you loose that list that I gave you at your consultation, you can refer back to this blog! 🙂

How to Care for Your Extensions

  • Never sleep with wet hair
  • Avoid any products that are alcohol or silicone based. Most shampoos and conditioners have these products in them. Alcohol and Silicone with break down your bonds, ruin the integrity and the strength of them, which will cause them to slip out. Ask me about all products and I can help you choose the correct ones.
  • Wash your hair as needed. Oil from your scalp and skin is the same as using conditioner on the bonds. It will cause them to slip out sooner than they should.
  • Wash hair in cool or warm water. Avoid extremely hot water. The hot water can melt or loosen the bonds causing them to come out sooner than they should.
  • Check any products you would like to use though me first, to be sure they are not damaging to the bonds.
  • When washing your extensions, be sure you rinse out any shampoo completely. If you do not, it will cause hair to look and feel oily.  If you need to, lift up hair in sections to be sure you are cleansing the hair completely.
  • When using your conditioner, only use from the base of the neck on down. The extension hair needs conditioning more than normal hair… be sure to keep them moisturized. Never use conditioner on the bonds!
  • When blow drying, use a cool or warm setting. High concentrated volumes of hot air will melt the bonds. Hold blow dryer away from bonds to keep from melting the bonds. Use blow dryer on a low or medium setting. High volume of air can cause extensions to tangle easily.
  • Wait until hair is completely dry before styling. Using heat (flat iron or curling iron) on damp hair will damage the hair.
  • Brush your hair with a boars head bristle brush before and after washing. Lift hair up in sections to be sure to get the hard to reach places. If you do not brush your extensions, they will get tangled and turn into dreads.
  • Begin brushing at the ends and work your way to the scalp. This will prevent pulling.
  • When sleeping, always pull hair away from face. Everyone has different preferences. Just do what is best for you. Some put into braids or pony tail. This will eliminate the tangles that occur from “rolling and spinning” on the pillow.
  • Do not use flat iron on the bonded areas. Any heat that is applied will melt and smear the bonds. Just remember that I apply them with heat, so heat can be your worst enemy. You can flat iron from the bonds down.
  • Use heat in moderation, of course. Extreme heat will damage the hair.
  • If you feel a loose bond, leave it alone! The more you touch and play with it, the sooner it will slip out. Also the oil from your hands will attach to the bonds. Just leave them aloneJ
  • You will need to come in for your maintenance every 6-10 weeks. If you get color done, I will do your touch up at that time.  At this time, I will replace the bonds that have slipped out and make sure your extensions are in good shape!

I know this sounds like a lot of information, but it will become habit. I say all these things because of past experiences with other clients. Good luck with your new extensions, and don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions!        ~Adelle Valentine Graham (www.hairbyadelle.com)
